Established in 1911 at the corner of London Road and North Road St Leonards by our founder John Busbridge (pictured left), the shop was passed on to his son, the late Gordon Busbridge. The business has developed from the corner shop of pre first world war days to a full scale comprehensive store occupying five premises. The enlargement and modernization is a tribute to Mr Gordon Busbridge who not only visualized the new growing out of the old, but worked with every aspect of the reconstruction! <<<<<<<<<<<<<<< Circa 1914, founder John Busbridge. waving the troops off to war.. From Gordon Busbridge the company then passed down to Gordon's sons Chris and John together with son-in-law Peter deeprose (now retired). In the tradition of the company the fourth generation, Chris's sons Mark and Richard, are working for the company to ensure the tradition of service quality and reliability will continue for many years to come,assisted as always by their loyal and knowledgable staff. During recent refurbishment the original shop facia wasdiscovered complete with the trading motto "Noted for Quality & Satisfaction"
